Arsenal who have been reasonably quiet are trying to get their targets sought out as they bid for Torino defender Bruno Peres.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta World, Arsenal scouts have watched Bruno Peres at Benfica in a pre-season friendly between Benfica and Torino.
Reports further state the Gunners have submitted a £15million offer for Peres as they look to bolster their defense going into the new season.
Manchester City have been tracking the defender closely since the arrival of new manager Pep Guardiola as City look to improve their defense after doing some good business in the current transfer window.
Arsene Wenger has admitted that the club needs to sign an attacker and an experienced defender as they look to fill the voids in an already settled side.
With Mathieu Debuchy set to leave to France on a permanent deal to Bordeaux, the Gunners would be left with only Hector Bellerin as Carl Jenkinson is still recovering from his injury.
The 26-year old Brazilian international will add much-needed depth to Arsenal’s defense after an impressive season with Torino where he caught of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Peres have also had a lot of interest from Manchester City, Barcelona, Wolfsburg, and Bayer Leverkusen as Gunners are keen to sign him ahead of their rivals.
Bruno Peres is known for his quick acceleration and impressive ball control which could make a difference with Bellerin on the other flank.
