Cesc Fabregas is reportedly seeking a move away from Chelsea.
The Spaniard hasn’t cemented himself a place in Antonio Conte’s starting XI as of yet and he is now said to be considering a move to Real Madrid.
The veteran midfielder was left out of the Blues’ Premier League clash with West Ham last night as Antonio Conte’s men recorded a 2-1 victory over the Hammers.
Chelsea new boy N’Golo Kante started ahead of Fabregas and the latter is said to be concerned about where he features under Conte.
Spanish publication Sport suggested his representatives have made contact with Real president Florentino Perez to discuss the possibility of a move.
The report claims the 29-year-old is seeking options elsewhere and he wants to know if there is the possibility of him moving to the Bernabeu.
Fabregas has also been linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks. The Serie A giants are keen on finding a replacement for Paul Pogba and have reportedly identified Nemanja Matic as his replacement.
But the west London outfit are keen to hold on to the 28-year-old and reports in Italy suggest they are willing to offer Juventus Fabregas, instead of Matic.
Fabregas is under contract with the Blues until 2019.
Cesc Fabregas played just shy of 50 games in both of his first two seasons at Stamford Bridge but that did not stop new boss Antonio Conte leaving the Spanish World Cup winner twiddling his thumbs on the bench.
Big-money signing N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic were preferred in the centre of midfield with Oscar operating in the more advanced role behind Costa. It remains to be seen whether Fabregas’ exclusion was a one-off or if he is set to endure plenty of frustration in the near future.
One thing is certain, Conte, like his predecessor Jose Mourinho, is not afraid to upset big personalities.
