Premier League rivals Everton are ready to offer a staggering £40million bid to sign Manchester United’s unwanted stars Memphis Depay and Morgan Scheiderlin, according to reports.
Everton have been constantly linked with the duo over the past two months as both Memphis Depay and Morgan Scheiderlin are completely ousted from the first team action by manager Jose Mourinho.
The Toffees manager is a huge admirer of Dutch winger Memphis Depay while he is hopeful of having a reunion with Scheniderlin as the duo have earlier worked at Southampton. Everton would be looking to strengthen their midfield as they have been inconsistent so far this season despite having a bright start.
Both the players have signed for Manchester United last summer but has failed to live up to the expectations under Louis van Gaal as they were eventually restricted to bench by new manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has also revealed that he is ready to let Scheniderlin go as he confirmed that the player has asked for a move in January. According to Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton are very close to signing the duo as they have offered an incredible amount which Manchester United cannot reject at the moment.
Memphis Depay has so far made 8 appearances for Manchester United across all competitions for a collective 134 minutes of playing time where as fellow midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin have also made 8 appearances for the club this season and have played for 235 minutes.
However, West Brom are also interested in signing Morgan Schneiderlin as manager Tony Pulis has confirmed about their bid. So the Toffees will need to act fast if they want to sign the talented duo this January before other clubs come in search of the two Manchester United outcasts.
