It’s now official. Manchester United has sent their 20-year-old attacker Ashley Fletcher on loan move to Barnsley.
Manchester United earlier revealed thatj has been recalled from his loan spell from Borussia Dortmund.
He apparently had endured an unsuccessful six months in Germany where he had not started a Bundesliga game.
And the scenario at Old Trafford now is clear – one in, one out with promising striker Ashley Fletcher on his way for a loan spell.
The 20-year-old attacker has signed a one-month loan contract with League One side Barnsley and will be there until 6th February, Manchester United on Saturday confirmed.
A Barnsley statement later read: “ Barnsley Football Club is delighted to welcome Manchester United’s Ashley Fletcher to Oakwell on loan.
“The promising striker has penned a youth loan with the Reds until February 6, 2016.”
Meanwhile Fletcher said:”I’m buzzing to be here. I’ve come to get some league experience and help improve the team.
“I’m looking forward to this weekend. Fleetwood are a good side and it will be a good test but with the quality we’ve got here, I’m sure we can do the business.
“Having trained with the lads this morning, I can see the quality that they bring to the club.”

Manchester United have been short of genuine strikers after selling Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez in the summer and then allowing James Wilson to join Brighton on a loan spell.
Another 22-year-old loanee, Will Keane also has moved back to Old Trafford cutting short his loan deal with Preston as Louis van Gaal is trying to solve the scoring woes.
Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial have been so far the only senior strikers at the United manager’s disposal as the Red Devils struggling to find the net throughout this season but after both the striker finding the net in United’s last outing against Swansea LVG feels bit more relaxed right now.
