It was believed that City tried to bring Guardiola at Etihad Stadium before start of this season, however, the Spaniard refused them in favour of a stay at Bayern Munich.
It has now been confirmed that Guardiola will take over at City and we can expect an even formidable side at the blue half of Manchester.
City were never sure of Manuel Pellegrini and his stay this season is almost a result of other managerial targets turning the down. Pellegrini will have 12 months to deliver his best to the Premier League before he gets the sack.
With Guardiola coming to the Premier League, there will be quite a few angels to look at. His rivalry with Jose Mourinho will get renewed as the duo never grew any fondness for each other during their time in LA Liga.
Louis Van Gaal was Barcelona’s manager when Guardiola was a player so a mutual admirations between the two or some untold stories to come out from there, we are still not sure.
Whatever be the case, one thing is confirmed, Guardiola will turn City in to relentless winners and it can not only be a warning sign for the other teams in the league to sure up their act before he arrives.
