This news is surely going to cheer up the United fans. According to Steven Bates’ report in the Sunday People club legend Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to make a shock comeback to Manchester United if Louis Van Gaal loses his job. Sir Alex is willing to help his former player Ryan Giggs in performing his managerial duties for the remainder of the season if Van Gaal’s number 2 is appointed as the Red Devils’ boss.

According to The Sunday People, Sir Alex has no plans to return to the dugout but he IS WILLING to take a hands-on role behind the scenes to help Ryan Giggs.

Ferguson’s last involvement in the club’s decision-making was the appointment of his successor David Moyes after which he has distanced himself from most of the club decisions. But, the legendary manager still commands the respect and support of the United hierarchy.

If a repeat of 2014 takes place and Giggs has to take charge of the club before the end of the season, he would seek Ferguson’s help atleast till the campaign ends. Ryan Giggs briefly took charge of United when Moyes was dismissed and could do the same if Van Gaal is sacked.

According to the report, Sir Alex will not return to the dugout but is willing to help out one of his favourite stars Ryan Giggs should Giggs ask for it.

Sir Alex won 13 Premier League and 2 Champions League titles with United but things aren’t looking good for United since he left the club. After his retirement Sir Alex Ferguson was appointed as a director and director and club ambassador and can be seen in the Old Trafford director’s box watching his former club struggle to score.
