Chelsea 3-1 Arsenal: Twitter Reacts As Blues Thrash Gunners To Extend Lead At The Top

Chelsea has opened a huge 12-point lead at the top with an impressive 3-1 win over title rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
After suffering a shock defeat to Watford at home on Tuesday, Arsene Wenger brought in Hector Bellerin, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott to the team while Antonio Conte replaced Willian with Pedro in the team that drew 1-1 at Anfield.
Chelsea drew the first blood in the London derby when Marcos Alonso opened the scoring in the 13th minute. The Spaniard found the back of the net with a header from close range after Diego Costa’s shot hit the crossbar. Arsenal suffered another setback when Bellerin was forced off the field in the 17th minute after he picked up a facial injury while trying to prevent Alonso from scoring the opener.
Gabriel spurred a great chance to equalise seven minutes from half-time when his headed effort from only six yards out was saved by Thibaut Courtois. Mesut Ozil tested the Chelsea goalkeeper with a low shot before half-time as the home team managed to held on to their slender one-goal lead.
Eden Hazard then put the game beyond Arsenal’s reach when he doubled Chelsea’s lead with a brilliant solo goal. Arsene Wenger, who was watching the game from the stands due to four-match suspension, introduced Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud but the move did not make any difference as Cesc Fabregas piled more misery on the Gunners after scoring Chelsea’s third goal in the 85th minute. Giroud managed to score a late consolation goal for the visitors as the defeat has all but ended his team’s title hopes.

Year after year, even with the addition of new players, Arsenal's mentality is always questioned. That has to stem from the manager. Weak.
