Real Madrid young talent Raphael Varane is considering his future away from Bernabau with Portugese defender Pepe signing new contract which will see him at Real Madrid till 2017.
The 32-year old Pepe has drawn interest from both United and City but now have gone to ink a new deal which will see him at least till 2017 with player wanting additional 12 months. This has led young centre half Varane to consider his options in the summer.
The 21-year old defender is set to land at Stamford Bridge with Jose Mourinho stating him as “the best young central defender in the world,” back in March 2014. It was Mourinho who brought him to Bernabau. Mourinho rates the defender very highly.
It is reported that Varane will be the top defensive transfer target for Chelsea as they are seeking a long-term solution for their captain John Terry who is 35 years old now. Despite giving 12-month deal to Terry, Mourinho wants Varane as it would make Chelsea defense strong and with Varane only 21 he might have a long career at London’s Royal Blues.
The 21 year old already made 31 appearences for Real Madrid due to injury problems for both Pepe and Sergio Ramos but can be confined to bench more often when both the defenders are fit.
Varane is also drawing interest fro Paris-saint Germain and Manchester United, but with the player already worked under Jose Mourinho he might opt for Chelsea over others. However it would take atleast £40m bid to tempt Real Madrid in selling the French International.
