Confirmed – First exit of the season at the Bridge as Chelsea future star goes on loan to Gladbach

As per the latest reports, Chelsea defender and a future star Andreas Christensen is set to depart to German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach for a season long loan. The 19-year old is also expected to sign a long new deal at Stamford Bridge.

The player is highly rated by Jose Mourinho and have given him chance in Chelsea’s first team last season as he made three appearences for the Blues during the campaign. The Portugese manager is keen to send player out on a loan to get important first team action on a regular basis.

Christensen signed for Chelsea back in 2012 and have made impressive progress in the youth side helpig them win UEFA Youth League last season. The player have played to Danish national U-16, U-17, U-19 and U-21 sides earlier.

 

Mourinho insisted that he will bring some youngsters in to the first team who are impressive and will also loan out some senior players to make them get ragular playing time.

He said, “Some of the older ones will go on loan to play every game in the Championship or the Premier League, even abroad. And we will bring some of the younger ones into the process. But to have them all at the same time in the first-team squad is hard.

“I cannot have a squad of 10 men and 10 kids. I must have a squad like we have now of 16 or 17 seniors and three or four kids.”

Apart from Christensen, Chelsea’s youth player of the year Zouma is also expectd to leave to Italian outfit Sampdoria on aseason long loan.
