According to latest reports, Chelsea are lining up summer bid for PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 33-year old has only one year left in his contract and Chelsea are plotting a move to get him for cut-price deal.
The player enjoyed a successful as he was able to find the back of the net 28 times this season in all competitions this season. He also played a crucial role in PSG’s title triumph this season.
PSG are looking to hold on to Edinsn Cavani as the Uruguayan is playing as second striker and wants to leave the club this summer. PSG are planning to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic and are looking Cavani as his successor.
The player is heavily linked with a move to MLS and a return to Italy but Chelsea emerged as strong candidates to win the race for the striker. Zlatan shares a special relationship with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as the duo worked together back at Inter Milan.
The player have written about Jose Mourinho in his book praising the manager for his work ethic to the team. He wrote, “I’ve never met a manager with that kind of knowledge about the opposing sides. We all sensed it immediately. this guy knows his stuff.
“I felt increasingly that this guy gives everything for the team, so I want to give everything for him.
“He formed an attachment to me even before we met. He would become a guy I was basically willing to die for.”
