Chelsea and Liverpool are on high alert as Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin has hinted that Andre Ayew may leave this summer.
The Ghana international had a wonderful debut season in Premier League last term, and has rightly attracted interest from bigger clubs.
Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on the current situation of Ayew, and it now seems like Liverpool could also join the race as Jurgen Klopp eyes further additions to his attacking department.
Interest in the 26-year-old has been sparked by Guidolin’s words last week when he failed to rule out the player leaving the Liberty Stadium.
“Andre is a good guy and a good player, I hope he stays with us but I don’t know,” he said.
“It is important to keep him, but it is not my job. My job is to train and to get the team to play well and to get good results. I am confident he will stay.”
Ghana Soccernet now suggests this could see Chelsea and Liverpool make their moves for Ayew, and eventually, could even encourage West Ham and Sunderland in the race for his signature.
Ayew could fit the bill for Conte, with Chelsea hoping they can snap him up from the Swans for around £12million.The versatile 26-year-old could prove an ideal squad player in this Chelsea side, particularly as the club are now short of backup following the departures of Radamel Falcao and Alexandre Pato at the end of last season.
Liverpool have already signed Sadio Mane and Marko Grujic in attacking positions while the departure of Jordan Ibe could open up a possible position in the squad for Ayew.
