Antonio Conte is desperate for some defensive additions in the summer and wants Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos to add to his squad in the summer.

Stamford Bridge outfit Chelsea are currently the team to beat in the Premier League as they are at the top of the points table, 10 points off Tottenham Hotspur at the 2nd place.

They managed to get into the semi-final of the FA Cup after beating Manchester United earlier this week and were drawn a crunch tie against Tottenham Hotspur, which will be played next month.

The manager will be relatively happy with the progress that his side have made this season but has been looking to improve the quality of the squad in the summer.

Chelsea are sure to compete in the Champions League next season and this has seen Conte search for some top quality stars for a move in the summer.

And one name that is doing the rounds recently is  Spanish star Sergio Ramos.

A long-term transfer target for Manchester United, Ramos has been in the form his life this season in front of goal.

He has 10 goals to his name, including 6 winners in various competitions and is now one of the most influential players in Europe.

He was on the verge of a switch to the Old Trafford back in 2015 but a move fell through which saw Ramos enjoy another couple of years at the Spanish capital.

However, according to reports from Spanish media outfit Diario Gol, Chelsea have opened talks with the player’s representatives for a move in the summer.

Ramos signed a long-term deal in 2015 that will keep him at the club till 2020 but it is understood that Conte is confident of landing him at the end of the season.

Chelsea are joined by PSG and Bayern Munich in the hunt for his signature but Conte seems to the most desperate as he in search of a star player who can replace club legend John Terry next season.

The English defender is sure to leave the club this summer and Conte needs to improve on his defence and has identified Ramos as the perfect option for his system at the Stamford Bridge.

He might have to break the bank to land the 30-year old but with all his reputation and experience, he is a player well worth his wages.
