Chelsea predicted lineup to face Liverpool this Friday

Having dropped a couple of points for the first time since taking over the Stamford Bridge outfit, Chelsea’s new manager Antonio Conte will face his toughest test yet this weekend when he runs into a rampant Liverpool side that is slowly growing in confidence. The manager will hope to set out his best squad for this game having been training at the midweek thanks to no European fixtures and will not be happy with anything else expect a victory from this game.

Chelsea:

Team News:

Chelsea will miss the services of John Terry who will miss 10 days of the action with a ligament injury. This will see Antonio Conte give David Luiz his second Chelsea debut this weekend at the Bridge. Kurt Zouma remains the only other injury concern for Conte.

Here is how Chelsea might lineup against Liverpool for the game at the Bridge:

Goal Keeper:

Thibaut Courtois:

Having taken the mantle of a first choice from Begovic, Courtois will take his place between the sticks for this game against Liverpool.

Defense:

Branislav Ivanovic:

After an impressive start to the campaign in his original position, the Serbian will keep his place on the right flank for Conte’s side.

Gary Cahill:

Having established a good rapport with Terry Cahill, who will start the game against Liverpool will be under pressure with a new partner in defense.

David Luiz:

The former PSG player who made a comeback to the Stamford Bridge this summer, will be given his first game under Conte thanks to the injury to Terry.

Cesar Azpilicueta:

The Spaniard has been one of the most consistent players for the Blues recently and will keep his place in the side for the weekend.

Midfield:

N’Golo Kante:

Arguably the most important player for Conte in this clash, Kante, will have to be at his best to keep the Liverpool attack away from danger for the entire game.

Nemanja Matic:

Providing able support for Kante so far this season, Matic has been decent this season but will be tested on the night by the fluid attack from the visitors.

Willian:

The best player for Chelsea in the previous season, Willian, has made a sizzling start to the new campaign and will be an important player for Conte on the night.

Oscar:

Though not able to influence games with command, Oscar, has slipped into the midfield role with ease under Conte and will play a similar role against the Reds.

Eden Hazard:

The Belgian is in some exciting form recently and will hope that he can continue his decent goal scoring form against the Reds this weekend.

Attack:

Diego Costa:

Having already scored a couple of winners and also an equalizer, Costa is the player who Conte needs to be in form for this game as he will have to be at his best if Chelsea are to get anything from this game.
