Chelsea ready to make club-record bid for top transfer target and it is not Lukaku

Antonio Conte has done some smart business this transfer window after his move to the Stamford Bridge at the end of the EURO16 campaign with Italy.
The manager managed to sign the likes of N’ Golo Kante from Leicester City and Michy Bartshuayi from Marseille to add to his squad from the previous season.
The manager is still looking at an addition to his squad to strengthen it ahead of the next season and it is now revealed that Antonio Conte is ready to offer a club record deal for one of his top transfer targets.
According to recent reports, Chelsea are readying a bid of £60m to try and lure Kalidou Koulibaly, the Napoli defender away from Italy this summer.
The manager is desperate for a couple of additions mainly to his defense and his attack and has identified top transfer targets for both positions.
While Romelu Lukaku is extensively linked with a move to Chelsea, the Blues are now reportedly ready to offer Koulibaly and Napoli an offer that will be hard to refuse.
Chelsea were rejected in their initial approach of around £43m and it looked like Koulibaly will not make a move this summer but Conte is seemingly desperate for a defensive addition and has targeted Koulibaly for a big money move to the Bridge this summer.
The likes of Gary Cahill and John Terry are the only two senior center halves in the squad that can be relied at the moment in the squad from Chelsea so a club record deal for the 25-year old is hardly surprising.
However, it will be interesting to see how the Senegalese adjust to the Premier League in his debut season if he makes the move to the Bridge having not played professional football in any of the top three domestic leagues in Europe.
Do you think Koulibaly will help Chelsea to better things next season?
