Massive Blow: Antonio Conte’s most trusted defender could miss Liverpool showdown

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will have a lot to worry about his defence before the big match against Liverpool as his veteran centre-back John Terry was seen limping off after the Blues’ 2-2 draw against Swansea City. He was later seen boarding the team bus on crutches.
The Chelsea skipper was clipped by Swansea forward Leroy Fer and looked in extreme pain after rolling his ankle in the dying minutes of the game. However, calling Terry a warrior Conte said that he is not worried about the injury.
He said: “I don’t know the extent of the injury. Tomorrow we will see the situation with his ankle.
“He is a warrior! And I’m not worried.”
It was a very tough evening for the West London club as their perfect start to the season was ended following the stalemate. The Blues were looking in cruise control after Diego Costa gave them the lead early in the first half but two goals inside three minutes saw Swansea taking the lead against the run of play. With Swansea City threatening to walk away with all the three points, Diego Costa once again proved the rescuer and scored a sensational overhead kick to rescue a point for the Blues.
Talking about the game, Conte said: “Chelsea deserved to win this game. We created a lot of chances to score many goals. We were dominating the game, leading 1-0, and in only two minutes we were losing 2-1 and risked losing this game.
“Then there was a great reaction from the team to score a second goal and create the situation to win, but it didn’t happen. It is a pity because we lost two points today. Now we must look forward to prepare the next game.”
Chelsea’s defence has been very leaky this season and have kept a clean sheet on only one occasion so far. With Terry looking doubtful for the next game, Conte might give newly-signed David Luiz his debut against the Reds.
