Chelsea winger Pedro is looking to stay with the club next season as the Spaniard is enjoying his life under Antonio Conte.

The 29-year old has emerged as one of the key players for the Blues this season as he has enjoyed one of the best seasons in his career so far.

Having struggled in his first season at the club last year, Pedro had thought of moving back to Barcelona last summer as he held talks with Josep Maria Bartomeu but has decided to stay put after his purple patch under Conte this season.

Pedro has scored six goals and five assists in Premier League this season in just 16 starts and has played a major hand in taking Blues back to the top in the league.

‘This is the best moment for me at this club and also the best moment for the whole team since I’ve been here,’ he said.

‘I’m very happy here. It’s a good situation when you are top of the League and progressing in the FA Cup. We are on the right path.
‘Last year was a difficult one for me, for the club, for the team, but this year is different.
‘With this coach, all the team is focused on the fight for the title, with more confidence for every game and this is good. It’s a completely different season.’
Chelsea have been in spectacular form in recent months and have moved back to their top position. The Blues are expected to win the Premier League as they are already eight points clear at the top with Manchester City chasing in the second position.
The Blues will go back to Champions League next year and Pedro after becoming an invaluable asset in Conte’s formation will play a huge role in the next season as well.
