A 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at their own backyard, Stamford Bridge, this weekend, summed up the quality of the squad they have, which means they badly need some reinforcements in the team and all these needs to be done in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea have appointed the Italian, Antonio Conte as their in charge for the next season, and he will surely make some changes in the squad to make his job easier in the 2016-17 season. With the arrival of Antonio Conte, it was sure that this transfer window is going to be a huge one for the Blues, there will be so many exits and new signings in the summer.
Keeping that in mind here are some big names who are reported to be linked with the London giants:
Antonio Griezmann:
Chelsea are reported to be heavily linked with the Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann and have also offered him a huge contract. Being the key to Atletico Madrid’s attack, the French international has been praised everywhere. He is in tremendous form this 2015-16 season, and will be an ideal replacement for Eden Hazard, who has been very poor this season. Chelsea want to make Griezmann such an offer that he cannot refuse! They have the money and they are not scared of spending it to strengthen the squad. The question is will Griezmann make a switch for the money, and sacrifice next season’s Champions League football?
Romelu Lukaku:
Former Chelsea and current Everton striker, Romelu Lukaku desperately wants a return to his former club Chelsea. The Belgium international has been in tremendous form this 2015-16 season under Everton boss Roberto Martinez. Witnessing such great run of form has raised his market value and many top clubs including Chelsea are looking to sign the Everton bound striker. Reports say that Lukaku is keen to prove himself after being tagged as a flop in his first spell at the Stamford Bridge.
Moussa Dembele:
Chelsea are reported to be closing in for a move on the signing of the Fulham wonderkid Moussa Dembele. Dembele was in attendance as the Blues lost 3-0 to Manchester City this weekend. With his contract expiring this summer, Tottenham were linked with the 19-year-old striker, but recently it is being claimed that they have changed their mind.
Juan Familia Castillo:
According to reports, the 16-year-old Juan Familia Castillo is about to complete his move to Chelsea in the coming weeks. Juan has shown in the youth setup of Ajax and was also scouted by Manchester United. But with an aim to build a bright squad for the future, Chelsea are the favorites to sign the youngster.
