After a joyous Christmas, the Premier League teams will be back in action for the Boxing Day fixtures. One of the most attention grabbing game is Watford’s trip to the Stamford Bridge. This will be the first game for Guus Hiddink as the Chelsea manager and he will hope to start on a bright note with a victory.

The new manager will not have to content with too many injuries to the squad. Radamel Falcao is the only long term absentee while Belgian star Eden Hazard is doubtful for this game against Watford. It will be interesting to see how Hiddink will set his side up on Boxing Day. It is expected the Loic Remy will be given a place ahead of Diego Costa while Willian, Pedro and Oscar are all expected to start for the home side. Here is how they might play against Watford City:

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Goal Keeper:

Thibaut Courtois:

The Belgian shot stopper has not really been able to help his team but has stuck to his task well and will start on Saturday.

The most assured defender for Chelsea this season, Azpilicueta has been relentless on the flank at either ends and will hope to do the same against Watford.

Kurt Zouma:

Zouma has not really settled into the Chelsea back line but under a new manager, he might find his way to being a regular in the squad.

John Terry:

The experienced defender showed his class against Sunderland last week and will hope to do the same again on Saturday.

Branislav Ivanovic:

The left back for Chelsea looked revitalized in the last game and will start for the home side against Watford.

Nemanja Matic:

The Serbian mid-fielder has not been at his best this season but will get a chance to prove himself to the new manager on Saturday.

Cesc Fabregas:

The Spaniard was completely lethargic under Jose Mourinho and will hope to find some lost confidence under the new manager in this game.

The best player for Chelsea this season, Willian is the only player who looks like making things happen and will need to keep it up to revive Chelsea’s season.

Oscar looked superb in the game against the Black Cats. He will keep his place in the starting XI and will hope to have a similar impact on the game.

The ex-Barcelona winger is yet to settle into the EPL but has enough potential to break through defenses. He will start on the flank against Watford.

Diego Costa:

Costa has been one of the worst players for Chelsea this season but he has enough talent to convince Hiddink to go with him in this game.

Eden Hazard may be declared fit for this game and may yet take his place in the starting XI. He will play on the left flank while Pedro might be dropped off to the bench. Hiddink might take a more defensive approach and may put Ramires into the side by sacrificing one of the attackers. Loic Remy will also hope that he can get a chance ahead of an out of form Costa. Here is another way they might line up:

Formation: 4-3-3

Courtois; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Terry, Ivanovic; Fabregas, Matic, Ramires; Hazard, Remy, Willian
