Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the most consistent teams in the Premier League this season as manager Mauricio Pochettino will not rule out a possible title charge from now till the end of the season.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has taken Spurs to the knockout stages of the Europa League, the fifth round of the FA Cup and the league title is also not a distinct dream but the biggest positive for the club from this season has been the way the team was built by the Argentine.

Pochettino has done extremely well to bring in a group of youngsters who are not really experienced and build a team with high energy. He now has a team that is scoring goals for fun and has star players all around the field.

One such difference maker, Christian Eriksen is set to pen a new deal with the club as he sees his long-term career at White Hart Lane.

The 23-year old has been at the hub of the resurgence of the club this season and will surely be an important player for the club for years to come.

Eriksen left Ajax for 11 million in 2013 and has had an important role in the Spurs side since his move to the Premier League. He still has two years left on his contract but the Spurs management want him to extend his contract.

Eriksen is understood to be close to penning a new deal that will extend his contract another 3 years and will see him play for Tottenham till 2021.

Christian Eriksen has been an important part of Pochettino’s plans this season. He is capable of creating and finishing chances while he is also the set-piece expert in the team. He lends a lot more than that to the team and will surely lift the club in the seasons to come.

His is skillful and quick across the turf and at just 23, has lots of time to learn and mature into a player far more than his potential.

Surely Pochettino wants to fend away any interests from other clubs for his Danish star and wants him to sign till 2021 with the London franchise and win a lot of silverware in years to come.
