Liverpool have been a busy club this summer having already played 10 games since the Europa League defeat to Sevilla last season.
The manager has done an incredible job with his transfers and has strengthened the team to help him achieve glory at Anfield next season.
However, he will still have to get rid of the deadwood at the club and is currently searching potential suitors to help off load players who are now just a burden to the club.
One such player who is on his way out of the club is Belgian striker Christian Benteke.
The former Aston Villa man made a £32.5m move to Liverpool last summer but has been out of favor ever since the German manager took over the Anfield outfit.
It was reported that the 25-year old was told that he has no future at the club and that he will be sold this summer. A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for the striker but Liverpool have not been able to agree on a deal with anyone yet.
The likes of West Ham and West Brom are reportedly pondering over a move for the Belgian while Crystal Palace had a £30.5m bid rejected recently.
It is revealed that Palace’s bid contained clauses that would see Liverpool earn £23.5m at the beginning and the rest £7m as part of add-ons if certain criteria are fulfilled.
Liverpool understandably were not happy with the offer and want to recoup as much of the £32.5 they spent on the striker last summer.
This has seen the striker’s future still in doubt as he is no closer to making a move away from Liverpool. However, it is now revealed that Turkish giants Besiktas are ready to make a move for the striker this summer.
Reports from Fanatik, a Turkish news outfit, has revealed that Fikret Orman, the president of the Turkish football outfit, has travelled to England, ahead of a meeting with the Liverpool officials.
It is revealed that Orman is in the UK to discuss business deals with the Reds and that a deal for Benteke will also be spoken about.
The reports suggest that Orman wants the 25-year old on a season-long loan with the Turkish outfit covering £3.91m of Benteke’s wages next season.
Liverpool are not interested in letting Benteke out on a loan deal and want to sell him permanently but with clubs unable to meet Liverpool’s asking price, a loan move to Besiktas now seems the best possible move for Benteke.
Should Liverpool let Benteke leave on a loan or should they wait for offers and sell him this summer?
