According to reports in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo will be offered back to Manchester United for a huge sum of €60m (£48.5m) this summer. The Madrid club is willing to let their star player going back to his ex-club Manchester United.
The Independent have reported that Real have set a price tag on the 31-year-old winger and willing to sell him at the end of the season because he has only 2 years left in his contract, which expires in 2018 and if not sold by then he will only lose value.
Cristiano played for Manchester United from 2003 to 2009 before his £80m move to Real, which was a world record transfer deal. The Portuguese star has scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for the Manchester giants. During his spell at the Old Trafford, Ronaldo won three English Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups, and one UEFA Champions League trophy too. The Manchester United-bound winger was living a dream back then at Old Trafford – the theatre of dreams. Then he left United to join the La-Liga giants Real Madrid for £80m. Ronaldo is currently enjoying another prolific run as a goal machine this season, scoring 42 goals in just 40 appearances for Madrid in all competitions. The 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or winner is still loved by the Manchester United fans despite his drastic decision of leaving the club for Real Madrid.
In the recent El-Clasico Barcelona were defeated by Real Madrid and it was Cristiano who snatched a late winner for his side to settle down a score-line of 2-1 on this Saturday. Still it hasn’t yet been the best of the campaigns for Real Madrid, to be honest. Seven points behind leaders Barcelona, one point behind their neighbours Atletico de Madrid and a shocking 2-0 defeat at Volkswagen Arena against Wolfsburg in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg.
