According to Daily Mail, Louis van Gaal has dropped goalkeeper David de Gea for the big Barclays Premier League opener match against Tottenham.
David De Gea has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid throughout the whole summer despite some merry go rounds in the transfer market, Real could not land the Spaniard.
Louis van Gaal blamed the back to back two season’s Manchester United Player of the Year for the loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup.
And with Van Gaal delaying Sam Johnstone’s loan move to Preston, the United manager is set to play the youngster, who made four appearances on tour, in place of De Gea.
“He shall not play.” The Dutch boss Van Gaal said about De Gea. ” A player is also a human being more than a player and he cannot manage that.
“We will have to see who starts.”
United also signed Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero for free this summer and we will have to see who starts the the bar for the Red Devils tomorrow with Johnstone also contending for a place.
