Despite having offered contract ATK refuses Dudu to join the team

Athletico De Kolkata (ATK) seems to be plagued by another controversy when, despite having offered contract to Nigerian striker Dudu Omagbemi for the team’s remaining matches in the ongoing ISL, the club’s top officials have asked Dudu not to join the team now! It has been learnt that following instruction from the team’s Spanish coach Antonio Lopez Habas the officials have asked Nigerian striker not to join now.

Habas has reportedly changed his decision not to rope in Dudu now after his team trounced Mumbai city 5-1 in the last match in Munbai where Ian Hume struck first hat-trick in his professional career.

Habas, who is extremely happy with Hume’s performance now, seems to have regained confidence with the convincing win in the last match as he has reportedly informed ATK officials that he would now wait for Elder Poschiga who is all set to join the team, coming off with ankle injury. Habas has also reportedly informed that he has received a resume of a former Romanian World Cupper. And he seems to be interested after viewing his experience. Following coach’s instruction this Romanian World Cupper might even be called for trials also.

But whatever good things come out in the ATK camp now with a victory against Mumbai City, Dudu Omagbemi does not seem to be happy with the behavior. The Nigerian striker said from Denmark, “It looks frustrated for me as I was already taking mental preparation to join the training. Let’s see.”
