Louis van Gaal’s red and white army seems to be falling down lately after concluding games with unsatisfactory results and disappointing performances. Having lost to Bournemouth last week added to their misery. Unsuccessful tactics of the manager are majorly being blamed as the gaffer’s philosophy isn’t fruiting gains. However, the team from Manchester isn’t going to stay this way for long. The Red Devils have begun looking out for potential replacements in the squad for their currently injured players.

Manchester United failed to qualify for the Round of 16 in the Champions League, this has made the fanbase lose their faith in the manager. In order to win back their trust and support, the Dutchman has planned to splurge this transfer window. Louis van Gaal aims at adding quality to the squad and he believes 3 players can do that job, the best. These 3 mighty players are Ryan Bertnard, John Stones and Romelu Lukaku. Italian outlet ItaSport has reported that a sum of nearly £99 million has been planned to spend on the same.

The report says United will spend £51m on Lukaku while £33m will go towards a deal for his Toffees team-mate Stones. There has been no news if the price quoted will be accepted or not as the Everton manager has stated that the duo isn’t up for sale. He said: “It doesn’t matter if a club comes in. We created a squad during the summer to see how far we could go over the season. January doesn’t come into consideration.

“We’ll never lose anyone in January, unless it’s somebody who hasn’t been playing and we need to find a solution.

“If he’s a top performer, it’s not even a consideration.”

Lukaku has been powerful this season and has netted some quality goals. His addition to Manchester United’s squad will result in some good amount of goals. As for Stones, he has been constantly linked with The Blues, too. £15 million has been decided as the bid for Bertnard who could be seen as a replacement for Luke Shaw, who is currently sidelined after suffering a double leg break in September.
