Expected Chelsea lineup next season when Diego Simeone takes over as Manager

It is widely reported that Chelsea might appoint Diego Simeone on a bumper agreement, and talksport has visualised how the ‘new’ Chelsea will line-up under the Argentine. Chelsea sacked their effervescent manager Jose Mourinho last December, and was followed by the appointment of Guus Hiddink as an interim manager. Despite having an impressive stat of improvement, Chelsea is not planning to sustain with Hiddink next season and their eyes are already laid on Diego Simeone.

Diego Simeone’s tactics has been stellar, as the club managed to win the La Liga in 2014, and also managed to reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League which they eventually lost to Real Madrid. But his renewed and diverse managerial ideologies have received a lot of applause, which the Chelsea club management wants to bring into London.

And, as perceived by talksport, this is how Chelsea will line-up if Simeone takes the helm at Stamford Bridge.

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Cesar Azpilicueta, John Stones, Diego Godin

It is expected that Simeone will be able to lure Dani Carvajal from Real Madrid, Diego Godin from Atletico Madrid and John Stones from Everton. The remaining spot will be deployed to Azpilicueta that means a bunch of players such as Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill will be pushed down in the pecking order

Midfielders: Paul Pogba, Koke, Willian, Pedro

Strikers: Diego Costa, Antoine Griezmann

While it may sound too ambitious, but that is where Chelsea are headed next season with Simeone coming in to change the entire make up of Chelsea’s set up in the first XI and at the academy level.
