Sky Sports pundit and former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has picked his favourite to win this year’s Player of the Year award. Henry has picked Chelsea’s superstar Eden Hazard for the prestigious season-ending award.

Thierry Henry went on to add to his claim by saying that Eden Hazard is a special player. Henry sees Hazard to go on and be one of the best of all time. Henry thinks that Hazard is the most talented player in Premier League at the moment and it won’t surprise Henry if Hazard wins his second Player of the season award next season as well.

Eden Hazard is quick, strong and skilful and the rate at which he takes on defenders is freighting at times. Following the same theme Thierry Henry said: “On his day, nobody can stop him. He has such great quality on the ball; he can create something from nothing and that is a sign of a special player.”

Theirry Henry’s views are shared by Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini who is Hazard’s international teammate. Fellaini, who has seen Hazard’s development from a very close distance since these two have shared dressing rooms for last 3-4 seasons and Fellaini too believes that Hazard is the most gifted and best player in the league and he deserves to win the Player of the year award this season.

Hazard’s stats put him way in front of the other creative players in the league. If we compare Hazard with the likes of David Silva, Santi Cazorla and Phillipe Coutinho, the Chelsea star comes way out on top. Let us take a look at the stat which shows the average number of Key Passes, Chances created, Goals, Successful Take ons and Successful passes for these gifted players.

These stats certainly back Henry’s claims of Hazard being the best player in the league and winning this season’s player of the year award.
