ToggleThe head coach of Chelsea FC, Frank Lampard, has shed light as to how he deals with those players who feel upset about his managerial decisions in the team. Frank Lampard has worked wonders with Chelsea as a player. He is their fourth most-capped player of all-time and is loved by the management at Stamford Bridge.
This was a major reason behind his managerial debut with the Blues this season. And Frank Lampard has not disappointed by any means, considering this is only his 2nd full-time season as a manager. However, like, every other team, there are players who aren’t happy at all times with their managers’ decision-making approach.

Now, Frank Lampard has opened up on his experience of managing such upset players and revealed his technique of having a good relationship with his players.
Frank Lampard Opens Up On His Tactics To Deal With Upset Chelsea Players
“I know that a manager is going to upset 10-15 of his players every week and make decisions that people are going to be unhappy about and scrutinise,” Lampard said. “I think you just have to accept that as part of it, and I try not to make that the focal point,” he added.

“I try to see the bigger picture and think if I can be honest and upfront with the players – which is not always easy – then the players will respect you in the end, even if they are upset when they’re walking down that corridor. That’s how I felt as a player and I certainly respected the managers who were upfront with me, even if they were giving me bad news sometimes,” Frank Lampard further said.
Chelsea FC Are Currently On The Fourth Spot In The Premier League Points Table
It is due to Lampard’s great tactical ability that Chelsea have performed really well this season. They are currently on the fourth spot in the Premier League points table. They have earned 48 points in the 29 games played so far and would like to stay in the top four to secure a berth in the UEFA Champions League next season.

In the 29 games played this season, Chelsea FC have managed to win 14 games. 6 of these games have ended in a draw and they have been on the losing end for 9 times. Their recent league form has been decent enough as they have a couple of wins, a couple of draws, and a loss in their last five fixtures in the Premier League.
