Hazard believes Chelsea can still win trophies this season

Chelsea have stumbled in the league as well as the Capital One Cup this season but are in the running for two more honours, Champions League as well as the FA Cup for the season. They are widely expected to stumble in these endeavours by the general consensus but not by their star player, Eden Hazard. According to him Chelsea can win the Champions League as well as the FA Cup just like the infamous Di Mateo season and render their position in the table useless due to the automatic qualification of Champions in the European mega tournament.

Also, winning the FA Cup means an entry into the Europa League qualifying and that could be well equivalent of a 5th place finish for Chelsea.

“We are in a good way right now, we just need to start winning more games to bring the confidence back and create more positivity,” Hazard told the Chelsea website

“If the second half of the season goes well we can win two trophies (FA Cup and Champions League) so we just want to take it game by game, we don’t want to look too far into the future.

“It’s just about winning as many matches as possible.”

With these ambitions, it would be very important that Hazard returns to his best as the league has certainly grown in stature as the table shows and his club could do with the player who led them to the title last time around to turn this sticky situation around.
