Huge! Liverpool Open Talks With World Cup Winner They Almost Signed Last Summer

The victory at Anfield over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend will give Liverpool a chance to get back into the top-4 in the Premier League at the end of a period that will not be remembered for too long.

The manager will hope that his side can keep up the good work till the end of the season and qualify for Europe, something that will help them sign some big names.

The Reds are currently not too far away from a place in the Champions League at the moment and Klopp seems to be confident that his side will qualify for the elite competition.

He has already started planning for the future and has been looking at some of the biggest players in Europe for a move in the summer.

One such names that is back on the radar at the moment is German international Mario Gotze.

The German attacker, who scored the winner in the world cup final for Germany against Argentina not so long ago, came to the fore under Jurgen Klopp, the current Liverpool manager.

Though his move to the Allianz Arena did not go well, he managed to earn a way back to the Signal Iduna Park for £20m last summer.

Liverpool were one of the many clubs who wanted to sign him at the start of the season but they failed to lure him to England.

But according to reports from the Mirror, Liverpool have opened talks to sign him at the end of the season.

The 24-year old is fighting hard to cement a place in the first team at Dortmund under Thomas Tuchel but the German outfit are ready to offload him to a club who are ready to pay the amount they paid for him to Bayern a year ago.

Klopp has previously spoken about his interest in his fellow countryman and if given another chance to sign him, Klopp might find it too hard to resist.

Having already worked under Jurgen Klopp, Gotze, should not take too long to adjust to his methods and with Liverpool also looking to sign an attacker, a top class one, Gotze could be a super addition to the squad.

However, he is yet to play in the Premier League and if Liverpool end up selling Daniel Sturridge to buy Gotze, it might be a move that might backfire not too later in the future.

Do you think Gotze is still a good option for Liverpool?
