Mario Balotelli has successfully completed a medical with AC Milan today and is all set to join the Italian giants on a loan for an entire season from Liverpool FC. The Italian striker had joined Liverpool last summer for 16 million pounds from AC Milan but failed to live up to his expectations. The striker scored just 4 goals in the entire season for the Reds and was vulnerable throughout the season.

In this season, Liverpool have roped in Aston Villa star Christian Benteke for a massive 32 million pounds to bolster the squad. Youngster Danny Ings also joined the club which meant that there was no place for Balotelli in the Liverpool squad.

After returning to his former club, Balotelli sounded excited as he said to the club website: “I am happy to be back. I don’t have much to say because I just need to train and show what I can contribute.

Physically I am ok but I need to train with the squad. I am very motivated, but I need to work hard and talk less. I always hoped I would return to Milan, the club holds a special place in my heart. Do I want to end my career here? I just want to get back to work and have a good season, I have to work and that is it.”

Mario Balotelli is expected to make his debut for the club this weekend in the season opener against Fiorentina.
