Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has once again proved why he is still considered as one of the best ever in the game of football.

The 32-year old has been at the heart of Los Blancos’ attacks when they faced Espanyol in the La Liga this weekend. The hosts were dominant from the start to the end as they won the game 2-0 to extend their lead at the top of the table.

However, the moment of the game came when Ronaldo showed his skills when he came against Espanyol central defender David Lopez. The exciting Portuguese international started the move on his preferred left wing and has dribbled his way into the box.

But he found Lopez in his way at the edge of the box and Ronaldo has panicked to the situation and put in an early cross into the box. He has managed to execute an outrageous elastico nutmeg, which is also known flip-flap, as he went past Lopez comfortably.

Ronaldo has failed to make the final pass to his teammates in the box after the move as the away side was quick to clear the ball off their lines. Real Madrid has soon managed to find the opener courtesy of Alvaro Morata’s header.

The hosts then soon extended their lead to two goals when Gareth Bale off the bench for the first time since November to put the hosts in an unassailable lead.

The result has taken Real Madrid four points clear at the top of the league ahead of Barcelona with a game in hand.
