Insider Confirms: Liverpool Star’s Barcelona Move Has Taken A Surprising Turn

It’s fair to say that Philippe Coutinho’s fine start to the season hasn’t gone unnoticed.

With Liverpool currently sitting at the summit of the Premier League table, the energetic Brazilian has been one of the club’s outstanding players recently. Indeed, Coutinho has already racked up five league goals for Jurgen Klopp’s rampant side.

Unsurprisingly, then, he continued his fine form for his country as Brazil secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Argentina on Thursday night.

Coutinho struck a fine goal to help Brazil claim yet another win in their South American World Cup qualifying group.

Ultimately, though, with Coutinho forming a fine relationship with Neymar for the national side, it appears that Barcelona are on the lookout to bring the Liverpool man to the Camp Nou.

Barca, of course, previously signed enigmatic Uruguayan international Luis Suarez from the Reds, but will they manage to secure the services of Coutinho?

Well, according to a source at ESPN, the Liverpool playmaker is currently very happy with life on Merseyside.

In fact, the source claims that Coutinho doesn’t have a buyout clause in his current contract and the Catalans are yet to make contact over a potential transfer.

It appears, then, that Liverpool are safe for now, but they won’t be resting on their laurels in the pursuit of keeping Coutinho happy.

One thing is for sure, the talented midfielder was extremely pleased after Brazil overcame Argentina in style.

“Being in the squad is a very proud moment for me,” Coutinho said. “To be able to participate in such a group, next to great players, playing a classic like this is cause for much happiness.

“But of course we are still trying to achieve our ultimate goal, which is qualifying for the World Cup.

“Playing against Argentina has always been a big dream, every child dreams of wearing the shirt of Brazil and playing a classic like this.

“Today we prevailed on the field, the crowd helped a lot since the first whistle. We leave here very happy.”
