The Manchester United target has recently rejected an offer claims Jorge Mendes.
“While [Mourinho] felt honoured to receive the invitation, he cannot at the moment accept it.” said Mendes’ company Gestifute.
Despite the highly ambitious offer from Syria, the chiefs thought there was a little chance of luring him at this point in time.
Muwaffaq Jumaa said: “The circumstances don’t permit for Mourinho to come here and there are not enough resources for him,”
“I wish the national team the best of luck. But we have to adapt to the conditions we are going through.”
Since December, Jose has been out of work after Chelsea axed their own Special one. Mourinho is looking for a house in Cheshire now, as a move to the Old Trafford is close for the Portuguese.
The former Netherlands and Ajax boss has struggled tactically in managing the Manchester giants and might get axed after the end of the season. Talks have already been made with the Manchester United officials by Jose’s representatives claims DailyStar and they are reportedly confident Jose will replace the current Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal. Though any official statement on this matter hasn’t yet been made by either of the sides.
It is believed that if Mourinho is appointed as the next Manchester United manager to succeed Louis van, Gaal, he can spend up to £300m to bring star players to the struggling Manchester club.
Mourinho has revealed that he has many offers currently but will be selective. He has guaranteed that he will be working this summer while speaking in Portugal yesterday.
Jose said: “I can almost guarantee you that I’ll be back working this summer.
“I’ve good offers on the table.
“I want to work at a club with responsibility, in a hard league, where they’re no easy objectives. That don’t leave many options.”
