According to the reports in Italy, the former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will be managing Manchester United in the 2016/17 season.
Chelsea sacked Jose after a disappointing start to this season, as Jose’s side gave back to back poor performances. The only thing Jose was consistent at was playing poorly even in easy matches. But finally he is close to seal a deal of his likes.
The Sun claims that Mourinho is preparing to put pen to paper with the 20 time Premier League winners to rescue Manchester United and restore their glory at the Old Trafford next season.
United last won the premier league back in 2013 and since then they have been struggling badly even to get into the top 4. This season was not an exception too, as usual they are struggling very badly to seal a Champions League spot for the next season. United depend totally upon the Man City – Swansea game of the week 38, only a draw or loss for City can give the Red devils to the UEFA Champions League spot but they must beat Bournemouth for that on Sunday.
Criticisms never fade away from the path of Louis Van Gaal although he has reached the final of FA Cup, which will be played against Crystal Palace.
Although the reports of Mourinho joining Manchester United is not official yet, still rumours are that the deal will be finalized in a few hours.
Jose’s view in this matter: “In July, I will be back,” he said. “So we are in May. May to July is nothing. I keep enjoying my life which I’m doing, keep enjoying my family. But in July I am back.”
The Dutchman, Louis Van Gaal still has one year left in his contract.
Mourinho said: “It’s difficult because when you get a new club in this period normally the clubs have already done their work.
“I give you an example. I’m not the Chelsea manager, but I organised the Chelsea pre-season in many aspects because I did that 10 months ago.
“Clubs have their commercial, marketing departments always involved in everything. When a new manager arrives in May, June it’s very difficult to touch in some points, but we know that.”
“I don’t know. I know nothing about it really. I don’t have a club.”
Recently he told Sky Sports News: “[Van Gaal] is my friend, I worked with him for a few years.
“I am always linked with jobs and in the summer I will have a job, but in this moment I can promise you I do not have a contract with any club.
“I am not in a position to turn [jobs] down, I am in a position to analyse. I am in a position to be open to any club or national team.
“I have to be honest, if possible I would prefer a club but I must analyse to see what is best for my career and to be back with everything I have.
“I would prefer [to be in England]. I love the country, I love the football here, my family is very stable and happy.
“If possible yes, it would be my first choice.”
