According to reports in Italy, Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian is being targeted by Serie A club, Juventus. The January window starts on Friday and Manchester United have already begun with their business. Along with potential targets who are making their way to Old Trafford, the English giants also seem to offload some players.

According to the Metro, Juventus officials will be flying all the way to the UK to have a look at their transfer target, Darmian. It is believed that Darmian could be up for a move back to Serie A with Juventus trying to sign the deadly defender.

Darmain joined the Red Devils this summer. The full back was formerly at Torino from 2011 to 2015 before coming to Old Trafford. Darmian has been beneficial to Manchester United’s squad and it is very unlikely that the club will want to sell him. At United, Darmian has possessed a pass success rate of 84%. His defense has been top notch as he loves holding onto the ball and tackles very well.

However, the Italian is weak at crossing. Darmian has been deprived of chances to start for the team despite being decent in his game play. Hence the Old Lady want to sign up the unhappy player who is now missing out on Champions League football.

As per rumours, Juventus will offer nearly £15 million for the defender and if the deal gets through it will be a bargain for the Italian club. Considering the current scenario, it looks nearly impossible that the English giants will allow the defender to exit.
