Premier League outfit Liverpool are getting ready for their first game in the renovated Anfield this weekend against the Champions of England after a fairly successful transfer window.
The manager has bought in a number of players to improve all the facets of the side but has also missed out on a number of top transfer targets which he wanted to get to the club.
Jurgen Klopp is a manager who does not like to spend big unless he believes in the player and Liverpool missed out on many players who Klopp wanted to spend on.
However, it is not the end of the road for the Reds as it is now understood that the manager is keeping a close eye on two of his top transfer targets for a move in the next transfer window.
Mahmoud Dahoud, a player Liverpool fans were convinced would solve their defensive midfield problem, was extensively linked with a move to the club but it was revealed that Borussia Monchengladbach, his parent club, were not willing to let him go this summer.
And Christian Pulisic, one of many players that Jurgen Klopp wants from his previous club Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool missed out on both players even after making bids for the respective players and it is now understood that Klopp is not ready to let go of the duo.
The 17-year old winger, who has already created waves in the Bundesliga will be a great addition to the side in the long run but Dahoud, 20, would have been a great option for Liverpool in the midfield even in this season.
It is understood that Liverpool’s qualification into Europe come the end of the season might be the key to land the duo as neither player is expected to be available in January.
Liverpool have managed to take 4 points from the first three games and will hope that they can continue to take points off every game to get themselves into Europe next season.
Do you think Liverpool can get their hands on Dahoud and Pulisic next summer?
