Liverpool’s new energetic boss Jürgen Klopp wants to partner with Polish striker Robert Lewandowski again.
Recently Lewandowski’s agent threw a hint that the Polish goal machine will not be with Bayern forever and Klopp is ready to tempt the Bayern star to Liverpool.
Jürgen Klopp in an interview mentioned his admiration to Lewandowski by saying, “The biggest satisfaction you can get is when you take a player from Poland, from a small club and watch him play like he does today. The difference between that player we signed and the player he is today is unbelievable.”
The Reds already have Christian Benteke, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Oirgi and Danny Ings; apart from these players, Mario Balotelli is on loan at AC Milan. But Klopp will not make any hesitation if he smells any hint that Bayern are ready to let go the star. In recent weeks there was reports also predicting a possible transfer to La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. But now neither are interested to bag a striker. If that’s the case then Klopp’s arrival at Anfield could force the deal luring Lewandowski to EPL.
The new Liverpool boss signed the Polish goal machine from Lech Poznan in 2010 when he was in charge of Borussia Dortmund. Lewandowski quickly became a hero to the Dortmund fans but in 2014 after joining old rivals Bayern Munich allowing his contract to expire, a four years excellent reputation soured.
The Polish striker this season is in an extraordinary thrashing form, scoring five goals in nine minutes against Wolfsburg in Bundesliga, then a double against Scotland in Euro 2016 qualifier continuing his astonishing form whether for club or country.
