Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc clarified that The French giants have not reached to any agreement with Premier League giants Manchester United over Angel Di Maria’s transfer but he expects the Argentine to join the club soon.

The Di Maria transfer sage began last month when it was reported by the media that the out of favour star might leave Old Trafford after spending just one season at the club. PSG were favourites throughout to rope in the winger. Recent reports reveal that the move is on the card and in a week’s time the deal will be finalised.

Angel Di Maria was supposed to join the team for pre-season at USA on Saturday, but for some unknown reason he did not turn up. Media reports suggested that he ‘missed his flight’. Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal said he “did not know why” Di Maria missed his flight .

Abou the transfer Laurent Blanc said: “There’s no official news at this time. Of course, there is lots of talk and commentary out there. Paris Saint-Germain are out looking in terms of recruiting an offensive player, whether it be him or someone else.”

PSG lost to Chelsea last night on penalties in the International Champions Cup. The regualtion time result was 1-1, but the Premier League champions sealed the game in the penalties.

Manchester United on the hand defeated Barcelona 3-1 in their ICC match in Santa Clara, California on Saturday.

Blanc further added: “The anticipation is he’s going to come to the United States, as to which jersey he will wear, we do not know yet.

“Of course if he does make a change, we hope it’s for Paris Saint-Germain.

“There are still two big clubs out there in discussion. Right now we just need to wait.”
