It has been now confirmed that Ligue 1 champs Paris Saint-Germain will offer Premier League giants Manchester United the chance to sign star striker Edinson Cavani, in the January transfer window. The Red Devils have not been having the best of times this season in front of goal and have played out many games without really scoring too many goals. The fans have also labelled them as boring as the campaign has gone on and manager Louis van Gaal might now consider bringing the Uruguayan international to Old Trafford, who has a price tag of £32m($48.6m) to his name.
The Dutchman’s side once again struggled to score goals, as they faced a resilient West Ham side on Saturday and the game ended in a goalless draw once again.
The fact that James Wilson joined Brighton and Hove Albion on loan for the current term meant that only Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney were the two main strikers for the Manchester based side.
The skipper has failed to impress this season and is now out with an ankle injury, which would surely suggest the need for reinforcements in the new year.
The Independent via French publication L’equipe has confirmed the French outfit could let Cavani leave the Parc de Princes if the club that wants to sign the 28-year-old superstar can meet their price demands.
It will be interesting to see if Van Gaal looks to add the former Napoli man or not though he is quite keen to win some titles with United this season.
