Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom has joined Norwich City on a season long loan.
The 22 year old defender will get a chance to continue his development at Carrow Road.
The young defender spent the last season on loan at Premier League side West Bromwich Albion and made 24 appearances for them.
The season before, he had a loan spell at championship side Derby county where he made 37 appearances.
Wisdom can play either as a center back or a left back and his versatility in defense is one of his key attributes.
He is expected to play a key role in Alex Neil’s newly promoted Norwich City team and get valuable game time experience which will help him to a have a successful future at Liverpool.
“Andre fits our profile in terms of getting hungry players in who want to make their way in the game,” said Norwich boss Alex Neil.
“It will add to the competition for places as he’s a flexible player.”
Wisdom, who hasbeen capped 37 times for different youth set ups for England, is Norwich’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of winger Robbie Brady and midfielders Graham Dorrans and Youssouf Mulumbu.
Norwich were promoted to the Premier League after winning May’s Championship play-off final defeating Middlesbrough.
Wisdom has previously won UEFA Under 17 Championship with England in 2010 and was selected in the team of the Tournament as well.
