Liverpool are all set to welcome their bitter rivals from Manchester on Sunday with both clubs in desperate need of points to climb up the point table. Louis van Gaal will be hoping to get a result in this game to save his job while Klopp will try and better his team’s result from the game against Arsenal.

It will be important for Klopp to get his starting line-up right against the Red Devils. The manager confirmed that Jordan Henderson, Kolo Toure, Mamadou Sakho and Jordan Ibe are all fit for this game while Sturridge is still on road to recovery. Here is the strongest starting line-up that the Reds can use against Manchester United on Sunday:

Formation: 4-3-2-1

Simon Mignolet:

This game is too huge to hand a debut to Ward as Simon Mignolet will keep his place even after his horrific evening against Arsenal.

Nathaniel Clyne:

A solid presence at the back, Clyne has not missed too many matches under Klopp and will start on the right side of the defense on Sunday.

Steven Caulker:

2 matches in 4 days may be a bit too much to ask of Kolo Toure as Klopp will try to hand Caulker a start at the heart of the Liverpool defense.

Mamadou Sakho:

Sakho did not have a good game against Arsenal but will have to be at his best against the likes of Martial and Rooney to keep them out of the game.

Alberto Moreno:

The Spaniard has been a lively presence on the left wing for Liverpool this season. He will get another start against United and will have a huge role to play.

Emre Can:

The German is a regular under Klopp and will be an important part of the manager’s plan on Sunday night against United.

Joe Allen:

The Welshman impressed in the Kop in his last two outings and deserves his place in the starting line-up on Sunday.

Jordan Henderson:

The Liverpool skipper had a great game against Arsenal and will hope to repeat that performance against the arch rivals from Manchester.

James Milner:

The relentless machine that is Milner will get another start in the mid-field and will have to be busy on the night to not let United settle on the ball.

Adam Lallana:

Though not producing the final product, Adam Lallana has been a much improved player under Klopp and has the ability to make things happen. Sunday night might be his time to shine.

Roberto Firmino:

The brace against the Gunners will give the Brazilian forward lots of confidence as he will have to keep up his good work to cap off a good week for the Reds.

However, Klopp may also opt for the solidarity of Toure and Lucas and might try and give the pace of Ibe a chance to flourish against United. This is another way they might line-up on the night:

Formation: 4-3-2-1

Mignolet; Clyne, Toure, Sakho, Moreno; Lucas, Can, Henderson; Lallana, Ibe; Firmino
