The deadline day of the summer transfer window is almost upon us and has brought with it a number of rumors into the papers that hardly carry any weight.

One such rumor that was extensively doing the rounds today was Merseyside outfit Liverpool’s interest in Manchester City outcast Joe Hart.

According to reports, Pep Guardiola has all but completed the transfer of Claudio Bravo to Manchester City from Barcelona on a £15.4m move as a part of his overhaul at the Etihad.

This has left England’s number 1 shot stopper to start searching for clubs with just over a week left for the transfer window to close down.

A number of clubs in England are interested in his signature, thanks to his superb performances for club and country over the years but it was revealed that the 29-year old was favoring a move to Anfield.

It was revealed that the likes of Sunderland are ready to make a move for the England international but that Hart was ready to even take a significant pay cut to move to Liverpool this summer.

This has seen a plenty of commotion between the fans of both clubs on whether a move between the two Premier League rivals will transpire this summer.

However, reports from the Echo have today revealed that Liverpool have no intentions to sign the goalkeeper this summer.

Liverpool have already spent (although not big) on one of the most respected goalkeepers in Germany in Loris Karius and are expected to use Simon Mignolet off the bench for the next season.

But with the Joe Hart rumor surfacing, there were talks that Liverpool might want to offload Mignolet to add Joe Hart to their back line.

However, the latest reports from Echo have smashed all such rumors and has left Hart without a club as yet for the next season.

He is currently the longest serving player at the Etihad and will only make a move for a place in the starting XI so it will be interesting to see who will spend on the England international this summer.

Do you think Liverpool need Joe Hart this summer?
