Liverpool stunned as they fail to manage a win over Malaysia XI

Liverpool could not finish their tour of far east Asia and Australia on a happy note as the Reds drew 1-1 with Malaysia XI.

Liverpool have faced the Malaysia Xi following their back to back three wins in pre season against Thai All Stars, Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers fielded a strong line up with Adam Bogdan, Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, Alberto Moreno, Lucas Leiva, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Jordan Ibe, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi.

Liverpool were down with 1-0 with a strike from Patrick Ronaldinho on 16 minutes.

The Liberian striker was a major threat to Liverpool defence throughout the match.

Liverpool equalized on 32 minutes with a stunning goal from Jordan Ibe, who was the best performer for the Reds today.

Liverpool had many chances to score but could not capitalize them.

Divock Origi had a game to forget as he missed a number of chances.

The Liverpool squad will now return to England and fly to Finland for the friendly against HJK Helsinki where the likes of Emre Can, Philippe Coutinho and new arrival Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke is likely to take part.
