Louis Van Gaal will be sweating over the fitness of his star man Daley Blind as reports are emerging of the player getting injured during his International commitments with Netherlands.
The nature and the extent of the injury has not been revealed yet but Dutch newspaper De Telegraph believes that it might be the re-occurrence of the knee injury Blind suffered earlier in the season.
Lois Van Gaal did express his reservations on Blind’s involvement with the Holland’s set up for the upcoming friendly against Turkey but Van Gaal can not complaint too much as he himself was the Dutch National side manager not that long ago.
Blind, since joining United from Ajax has been the key man for Van Gaal and United. Often described as manager’s minds on the pitch, Blind has adapted to life in the best way possible with United and it reflects in his game.
Blind’s versatility has been one of the biggest asset for United this season as they look to close out the Champions League spot for next season. Blind has played in the midfield the entire season but in United’s last two crunch games, Blind excelled in the left-back role.
Van Gaal can not afford to lose Blind at this stage of the season and would be anxiously watching Holland’s friendly against Turkey on Saturday and would hope to welcome Blind without any injury.
