Man United Scouts Urge Mourinho To Sign This German sensation Before Chelsea Do

Manchester United have enjoyed a mixed campaign this season. Despite reaching the EFL Cup semifinal and just one win away from a place in the knock out stages of the Europa League, Jose Mourinho is still aiming to add new signings to further enhance is selection at Old Trafford as they struggle to convince their critics with poor display this term.

As reported in the Express the Manchester United boss has been urged to sign defender Niklas Sule of Hoffenheim who is starring in the German Bundesliga.

The Manchester United defence has struggled to adapt to the new look Mourinho side and their errors and lack of leadership at the back have led to dropped points in the league so far this season with the Old Trafford club drawing their last four games at home.

Eric Bailly who signed from Villarreal last summer has been the stand out performer at the back for Mourinho.  An injury to the Ivory Coast defender added with his imminent departure to the African Cup of Nations upon his return to full fitness has sped up the process of adding quality to the United defence following the departure of key players such as Rio Ferndinand and Nemanja Vidic in recent seasons.

Sule is seen by club scouts as the ideal partner for Bailly in the heart of the defence as United aim to make a stark improvement in their fortunes as the club enter the second half of this season’s campaign.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with the 21-year-old while United scouts have encouraged Mourinho to make his move next month to snare the defender ahead of his rivals.

Mourinho has struggled to find a right mix at the back so far this season and will be eager to quickly form a partnership that he feels gives a solid base to his side.

While Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones have stepped up when needed in recent matches, neither look to have the capability to cement their place in the side when all players are fit.  Mourinho’s fallout with Chris Smalling over the England International’s reported decision not to play through the pain when required in the win over Swansea has led to doubts of his future under Mourinho.
