Manchester United 2-0 Watford: Twitter Reacts As Anthony Martial Helps Red Devils Extend Unbeaten Run In PL

After a tough few weeks, Anthony Martial proved his worth as he played a pivotal role in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Watford. The France international marked his first Premier League start in almost a month with a goal and an assist to help the Red Devils extend their unbeaten run in the league to 16 games.
Jose Mourinho’s men had drawn their last two games in the league and needed a win to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive. But it was the visitors who started brightly, pushing forward with pace and creating chances. However, United soon found their rhythm as Watford produced two brilliant saves to deny Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. United were soon rewarded for their attacking display when Juan Mata broke the deadlock just after the half-hour mark.
Watford began the second-half in an encouraging manner as Mauro Zarate saw his dipping free-kick getting saved by David de Gea. However, Martial put the game to the bed by doubling United’s lead on the hour mark. After being played on with a fine first-time pass from Ibrahimovic, Martial cut back onto his right foot inside the area before firing a clever finish beneath the Hornets stopper. The visitors rarely threatened in closing stages as United managed to hold on their two-goal lead to become the first team to win 2,000 points in the Premier League.

Manchester United's finishing (especially Ibra) has been farcical. It won't make highlights, but Pogba & Herrera have bossed the midfield.

Anthony Martial has been superb in the first half for Manchester United. Such a desire to go past his opposite man – has done brilliantly.
