Manchester United bid 3 million euros for Norway youngster who dreams to play for them

Manchester United have reportedly made an opening bid of €3 million for Odds BK winger 17-year-old Rafik Zekhnini.

Zekhnini came to the spotlight on Thursday night with a starring role in Odds’ dramatic 4-3 Europa League qualifying defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

And according to Norwegian paper TA, the youngster’s performance has convinced Manchester United officials to table a £2.1m bid for him.

Zekhnini himself was quoted as saying “I cannot say where I’ll be in five years. I’m going to give everything, every day, so we’ll see where I end up. In my dreams, Manchester United top the wish list.”

After the news from the reliable Norwegian newspaper, Zekhnini was again quoted as saying “My dream is to play for Manchester United. It has always been my favourite club. But you never know if any offer comes.”

Rafik Zekhnini is primarily a left winger and can play also play as a secondary striker and a right winger. 

He has played 4 matches in Tippeligaen this season and scored 2 goals with impressive minutes per goal ratio of 102.

He has been capped 4 times for Norway under 15 team, 6 times for Norway under 16 team and 2 times for Norway under 17 team.

He was praised by Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels after Odds Bk’s game against the German giants and he said that he could not believe that Zekhnini is just 17 years old.
