Manchester United recall a striker from a Championship club

The might of the English giants Manchester United has fallen this year. Constantly unable to net goals and falling prey to 0-0 draws, 2015 has been one tough year for the Red Devils. Manchester United is known for good, entertaining, attacking football. However, this element of attacking football completely disappeared this year. United have struggled for goals this season, scoring 22 in their 19 Premier League games – only six teams have scored fewer goals in the top flight so far this campaign. Having sold Robin van Persie and Chicharito Hernandez was one big mistake committed by LvG as he failed to find replacements for the duo. The club, however, has now made a wise decision.

Manchester United have recalled striker Will Keane from his loan at Preston North End. Keane joined the Championship club on a season-long loan, and had scored two goals in 22 appearances but he will now return to Old Trafford.

[It happened] in the last 24 hours or so. United felt they needed an extra body around them,” Preston boss Simon Grayson told Sky Sports News HQ.

“Obviously it’s disappointing to lose Will. In the last few weeks he’s been finding his feet with us. But that is what happens when you get loan players.’’

‘’We accept it. We will probably go into the market over the next few days and weeks to bring in reinforcements. Hopefully, he will do well for Manchester United.”

The addition of Keane will bolster the attack at Manchester United and hopefully help them score a few more goals this year.
