Liverpool has been linked heavily with a move to Anfield in recent weeks and reports suggest that Liverpool has held talks with the player already. Liverpool suffered heavily with the problem of lack of goals. They only scored 52 goals in EPL 2014-15. In 2013-14 season their two main striker Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge scored 52 goals themselves.
But with the departure of the Uruguayan and injury problems of the English centre forward Liverpool failed to score goals with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini all failing to impress. But Liverpool has not sold any of their strikers and bought another striker Danny Ings. Belgian Wonderkid Divock Origi who signed 1 year ago was on loan at LOSC Lille and he also came back from loan. Therefore LFC has 6 strikers currently and without selling them, it is unlikely they will make a move for Carlos Bacca.
Meanwhile, Manchester United has issues with their forward options also. Robin Van Persie has fitness problems and is clearly not someone who the manager and the fans can trust for the whole season. Captain Wayne Rooney is not an out and out striker now and plays much deeper. His work ethics and determination is an asset for the team and Louis Van Gaal is too experienced to use him at the most advanced position and failing to use his asset.
Javier Hernandez spent the last season on loan at Real Madrid and is rumored to be leaving the club. Even if he stays, It is clear that he will not be the first choice striker. Therefore they will want a good striker to challenge for the title next season and Getting Bacca will serve their purpose.
Carlos Bacca had a great last season with 20 goals in La Liga for Sevilla. He also scored 7 goals in Europa League, among those 2 were in the final against Dnipro which helped Sevilla to retain the Europa League. Bacca is currently on national duty with Columbia at Copa America 2015. According to Spanish media, Bacca is looking to leave Sevilla this summer and he would welcome a move to England.
