We are already into the business end of this season of the Barclays Premier League and with just months left in the summer transfer window, the rumors are coming in thick and fast from all across Europe.
Manchester United, one of the many clubs who are set to make big changes to the squad, have reportedly identified one of their biggest signings for next summer.
Real Madrid star playmaker Toni Kroos is understood to be leaving the Santiago Bernabeu after the end of the season and as per reports, Manchester United have emerged as the possible suitors for the German international.
Guillem Balague, the Sky Sports Spanish football expert has said in his blog that the 26-year old is currently unhappy at Madrid and wants to leave the club this summer and added that the Old Trafford franchise might be able to land him in the summer.
“I do believe he wants to leave Real,” said Balague
“It will be a fight for anyone to get him, but he would be ideal for Manchester United. There will be a fight for him this summer,” he added.
Kroos, who made his name as one of the best midfielders in world football is an important asset for any team. His ability to find his teammates from all sorts of angles makes him extremely useful player to have on the squad.
His technical skill, intelligence and winning mentality are other positive traits that come in handy when teams are close matches.
So it is not a surprise that the likes of Arsenal from the Premier League are also interested in his signature this summer.
Kroos almost made the switch to Old Trafford from Bayern in 2014, but it is understood that the present United manager Louis van Gaal pulled the plug on the deal and let him slip and join the Spanish giants.
With 8 assists even in a season where he has not been able to feature regularly, Kroos will add plenty of mettle to the mid-field at United with Juan Mata as the only player who will give him competition in the present squad.
However, both United and Arsenal will have to pay up to 40 million Euros to get their man and that fact that the Old Trafford outfit are ready to make a bid and splash the cash shows that quality of the 26-year old.
Do you think Toni Kroos will move to the Premier League next season?
